We began visiting the Riviera Maya five years ago and have continued to return at least once a year. We have tried and considered taking vacations to other destinations but in the end have decided to return to the town of Playa Del Carmen, PlayaCar, and surrounding areas. The beaches are incredible, the locals are friendly, and the area provides a much needed relaxing vacation. We have stayed at the Carribean Village, Riu Palace (June 2000), Condodminiums at Puerto Aventura (March 2001), the new All-Inclusive Xpu-Ha Palace (August 2001), and this year (March 2002) we will visit the Aventura Palace.
